2nd INSAF Conference Report

The Conference, attended by 104 delegates, was co-sponsored and endorsed by a total of 46 organizations. Six of these were academic or other institutions. The other 40 co-sponsors were community-based organizations representing various segments of the South Asian Diaspora.

Participants from South Asia included Mr. Tapan Bose from South Asian Forum for Human Rights based in Kathmandu, Dr. Parvez Hoodbhoy from Qaid-e-Azam University in Islamabad, Dr. Mazher Hussain from the Confederation of Voluntary Associations in Hyderabad (India), Mr. Zafar Meraj, Editor, The Kashmir Monitor, Srinagar, Dr. K. N. Panikkar, Vice Chancellor, Shree Sankaracharya University in Kalady, Kerala, and Mr. Abeydeera Wijewickrama from Sri Lanka Canada Development Fund, Colombo.
